I learned the craziest thing today. Doctors are less than professors Apparently in South Africa, you have to work your way up to becoming a professor. You start off as mr. Or mrs. And then become a doctor. After you are a doctor, you have to be asked or made a professor. Interesting right? One very important thing that i have learned is that we Americans need to step up our game. Everyone here speaks English and their native language. They learn English at a very young age and are very fluent in it. How many Americans can say that they were taught another language at a young age and are actually fluent in it? I mean i took maybe 4 years of Spanish in high school and college combined and am nowhere near fluent. Everyone thinks its cool that i am from the u.s. but honestly they are the cool ones. Lesson two: learn how to speak a few more languages!
